A hair loss expert is claiming there is a natural way to stimulate hair growth. Medical Researcher Darren Wong recommends aromatherapy and essential oils as a way to reduce hair loss and encourage growth.

According to Wong, some essential oils have been proven to stimulate hair growth, while others help stimulate the cells of the scalp and increase the flow of blood to the hair follicles.

Massaging a few drops of lavender and bay into the scalp is one treatment recommended by Wong. Alternatively, you could mix three drops of bay oil into your shampoo every day.

For those willing to go all out for extra hair, Wong recommends a blend of cedarwood (two drops), thyme (two drops), lavender (three drops), rosemary oil (three drops), jojoba (half a teaspoon), and grapeseed (four teaspoons). The said mixture should be massaged into the scalp for two minutes every night. A warm towel should then be wrapped around the head and left overnight.

According to an article in Health Magazine, a study made by dermatologists of the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in Scotland showed that among 43 people suffering from hair loss, 19 grew half of their hair back after applying this treatment for seven months. A small number of people re-grew nearly all of their hair.
